When it comes to planning the perfect stag do weekend, we understand how tricky pleasing the groom and a large group of mates can be. We can also offer complete stag group packages offered by My Peak Event that are affordable for budgets, amazing large group self catering houses combined with thrilling activities, and unique experiences.
We have put together a couple of stag itineraries to give you some ideas to help you plan the best stag weekend in the Peak District. So, here's your guide to an epic stag weekend staying in one of our Peak Venues large self catering holiday houses such as Cliff House.
Kick off your stag weekend by arriving at your spacious self catering holiday house, Cliff House, which sits on the headland at Monsal Head with a stunning iconic view of the Peak District. Offering plenty of room to relax and socialise including a game room, and large gardens - perfect for a BBQ, beers and some outdoor games.
Once you've settled in, enjoy a hearty meal and beers with your mates. We can hire you a private chef, arrange a BBQ or deliver pub classic ready meals. A game of pool and some beers will set the tone for the weekend ahead.
Morning: Hiking, Abseiling, Rock Climbing, Electric Mountain Biking or Caving
Start the day with a hearty breakfast to fuel up for some outdoor adventures. The Peak District is famous for its hiking trails and rock-climbing spots. Choose a scenic hike like the one to Mam Tor for breathtaking views, or if your group is up for a challenge, try rock climbing at Stanage Edge.
Abseiling at Miller Dale off the viaduct or hire electric mountain bikes and head off in so many directions to explore the tracks and off-road hidden places - those peaks of the Peak District are that little bit easier with some added power!
Afternoon: Thornbridge Brewery Tour
No stag weekend in the Peak District is complete without a visit to Thornbridge Brewery. Located in Bakewell, Thornbridge Brewery is known for its innovative and delicious craft beers.
Book a guided tour to learn more about the brewing process, the history of the brewery, and of course, sample a range of their exceptional beers. Stay longer in the tap room for a few more beers and we can arrange a minibus to pick you up and take you back to Cliff House.
Evening: Pub Dinner
The Peak District boasts a variety of traditional country pubs offering hearty meals and locally brewed ales. After a day of exploring, consider wrapping up with a traditional pub dinner. You can walk from Cliff House to one of the charming local inns, such as The Pack Horse Inn in Little Longstone or The Crispin and White Lion in Great Longstone.
Alternatively, enjoy a private dining experience by staying in and taking advantage of Cliff House's spacious dining room and hire a private chef from My Peak Event for a catered dinner, tailored to your preferences - even pair your wine!
After an action-packed day, take it easy and spend the morning relaxing around the house, perhaps enjoying a game of pool or one last hike around Monsal Dale. Alternatively, head down to the Yondermann Cafe for a 'Big Yondermann' freshly cooked full English breakfast.
Check out of your holiday house at midday. Book Sunday lunch at our favourite country pub, The Royal Oak at Hurdlow before your journey home, leaving with unforgettable memories of an epic stag weekend in the Peak District.
The Peak District offers a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and unique experiences, making it an ideal destination for a stag weekend. So, gather your mates, pack your bags, and get ready for a memorable celebration in one of England's most beautiful regions. Cheers!
