Owned by the Armstrong family, the Ginger Butchers combine the best of the traditional farming values they have inherited from their parents and grandparents with a desire to keep improving what they do and looking to the future. The Ginger Butchers, are committed to meeting top-class standards in every aspect of what they do. From the way they look after their animals, to how they hang their meat, and the skills they bring to their butchery and bakery. All meat is local – either from animals raised on their own farm, or from a farmer they know well in the Bakewell area. They also use a local abattoir – to reduce stress on the animals and to keep food miles to a minimum.

This family managed farm, with a little help from our happy herd, produces fresh, raw, unpasteurised milk that’s available daily from an onsite vending machine.
Open 7 days a week, 7am until 7pm, and is full of delicious raw milk that has been produced fresh on the same day!
Rented from the historic Hassop Estate, Home farm has been the pride of the Dilks family for the past 25 years. The Simply Milk vending machine is situated at the front of the farm, where the cows have access to acres of lush, green fields; free to graze and soak in the sun until late Autumn. The Dilks work tirelessly to ensure that their farm is home to a happy herd, but they also want to give something back to the wildlife around them, and be custodians of the beautiful land surrounded their farm. They also grow crops to be self sufficient and use homegrown food for over winter. Crops such as red clover & ryegrass silage (fermented grass), wheat, oats and kale.

Established by the Duchess of Devonshire in 1977, the shop sold beef and lamb from the estate farms, and venison from the park. Its aim was to sell Chatsworth's produce direct to the people who wanted to eat top quality, locally grown food. Since then the farm shop has developed and diversified, growing from strength to strength to become an acknowledged leader in its field.
